1.24.2011: Haircuts

This is "Janick" as Phoebe and Blaine used to call her....Janet has cut Bucky's hair forever (I know it's forever 'cause their old...hehe!). She cut the girls hair for the first time. Other than me cutting their hair one time (and possibly my mom, but I don't think she has), Janet is the only one to cut their hair. She always has something special for them while they are there when Bucky is getting his hair cut like an ice cream bar or a popsicle. Phoebe and Blaine love to sweep her floor too (another thing they did not get from me...ha)

1.21.2011: Phoebe's Softball Contraption

Phoebe really enjoys playing ball. I wish the rec center was not so expensive because I would love to try her at it. This day she was in the back yard playing and Blaine really could not pitch good enough to really help Phoebe at hitting so she took random items and made her own "ball stand". I know it is not much, but she does this kind of engineering type of thing all the time. She is one of those people that tends to have pretty good talent in several areas (in my opinion). She draws pretty good, has an awesome arm for pitching, and engineers crazy things......she did not get it from me...I really don't have a "talent" per se. Anyway, I think she is quite a cute ball player.

1.15.2011: Caden Spent the Night

We are trying to get Phoebe and Blaine together with Katie and Caden more as in they all get time together. Usually Katie and Phoebe pair off and Blaine and Caden pair off. This was one of those times, but in the future we are going to pair up opposite so Katie and Blaine get time together and Phoebe and Caden get time together. Emily is special, we go to Charleston to spend time with her!! It is crazy how Blaine and Caden look so much alike.

Another catch-up post....here are some pics since my last post, of various things.


Halloween 2010 at Carter's house, this is a tradition every year. Carter (Pop Star), Phoebe, Taylor (Pebbles), and Rebekah (not pictured, moved to TX) all went to daycare together and were all four a group. Of course, when they started school, they sort of split up, but we all try to keep in touch.

11.4.2010: Blaine's 5K Fall Program on Parent Power Night at school.
They sang various songs, here's one of them title "Toodle, loodle, loo"







11.5.2010: College Bound! All the kids received these shirts on Parent Power Night and wear them every Friday. It is really cool to see. Also, each morning they say their College Bound chant and you can hear it through the halls.....gives me chills, I am so proud of our school.
